Roles and Responsibilities:About the Role: Drive innovation and reliability on our manufacturing floor. In this critical hands-on role, you will be the technical authority for our non-standard automation, tooling, and equipment. You will own the entire lifecycle-from designing next-generation machines to ensure their peak performance-directly impacting product quality, maintenance cost, and production efficiency. If you are a pragmatic engineer who loves turning concepts into robust, real-world solutions, we want you on our team.Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Leadership & Standardization:
· Establish and enforce design standards and guidelines for non-standard automated machines and tooling to eliminate historical defects and prevent recurring design errors.
· Lead the design and completion of tooling fixtures, semi-automatic, and fully automatic machines from concept through commissioning.
· Provide technical guidance to technicians during assembly, debugging, and final acceptance of new equipment.2. Technical Stewardship & Performance Optimization:
· Spearhead technical modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement plans for mechanical equipment to maximize performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
· Develop and implement preventive maintenance, servicing, and major repair strategies to ensure equipment longevity and minimize unplanned downtime.
· Own the review, installation, commissioning, and acceptance process for all new equipment and tooling.3. Knowledge Transfer & Operational Support:
· Develop and maintain comprehensive operation manuals, troubleshooting guides (e.g., mind maps), and reference materials for equipment.
· Train and provide expert on-site technical support to technicians and operators, including managing work schedules as required.Qualifications & Experience:
1. Essential Requirements:
· College degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a closely related field.
· 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design for non-standard automation and equipment.
· High proficiency in SolidWorks (3D design) and CAD software for detailed drafting.
· Proven ability to manage projects from design through commissioning; experience with large-scale non-standard assembly lines is a significant advantage.
· Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT).2. Preferred Qualifications:
· Direct experience in the connector manufacturing industry or with electronic product production equipment.
· Practical experience in both the design and maintenance of complex automated systems.3. What We Look For:
· A systems-thinker who develops standards to solve problems permanently, not just repeatedly.
· A hands-on leader who enjoys guiding technicians and being on the factory floor.
· A proactive owner who takes charge of equipment performance and improvement plans.
· A clear communicator who can translate complex mechanical concepts into actionable manuals and training.
