- Reporting line: Factory Manager
- Ensure compliance to corporate and factory standards to provide consistent measuring, monitoring and improvement of performance whilst safeguarding people, products and assets.
- Guarantee the correct implementation of Manufacturing Resources Performance Measurement standards, ensuring accurate assessment of factory capacity and proactively strive to optimize of assets utilization.
- Collaborate with the Factory Management team to develop a medium to long-term factory development about capacity and manpower needs
- Ensure that the OEE is used effectively as a Continuous Improvement tool and action planning
- Promote workplace safety and ensure effective communication regarding Safety, Health and Environment to all team members
- Operation Improvement
- Identify and promote Operation improvements through benchmarking, suggestions, and methodologies such as 5S, etc. while coordinating timely and sustainable implementation for successful completion
- Lead or coach improvement/ problem solving projects such as DMAIC, Go - See - Think - Do, etc.
- Develop and use visual aids for effective improvement management and communication
- Establish a systematic process for generating improvement ideas
- Data/System Management
- Ensure data in related systems, e.g. NSAM, SAP, CST, iNexus, etc. is accurately maintained
- Ensure manufacturing standards are reviewed and updated to drive continuous improvement
- Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) Implementation
- Prepare and plan the implementation of NCE within the factory
- Allocate adequate resources to support the implementation of NCE initiatives in the factory
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful execution of NCE initiatives
- Monitor the execution of the implementation process and help remove roadblocks or resolve issues
- Track performance and deliverables throughout the implementation
- Ensure sustainable implementation by establishing a strong pillar team.
- Coordinate for maturity assessments
- Knowledge Management and People Development
- Promote the exchange of information, best practices, internal and external benchmarking and use it to identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure training as required on Continuous Improvement/OP/Goal Alignment methodologies and tools for factory team. Capability building system is in place and well executed
- Support to develop a change culture in the factory
- Succession plan in place and well executed
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or relevant technical majors
- Minimum 8 years of experience in multinational manufacturing organisations (preferably in FMCG or high tech industries) with strong background in TPM/ Continuous Improvement/ LEAN Manufacturing
- Previous experience in manufacturing operations at factory management level and/ or leading a small size team will be an advantage
- Good command of English
- Good understanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations; LEAN/ Industrial Performance methodologies and tools
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills to communicate and build rapport with colleagues from various levels
