We offer one of our industry’s most innovative portfolio of products, services and technologies that serve to prevent, treat, and control diseases across all major farm and companion animal species.WHAT YOU WILL DOPOSITION OVERVIEW: BASIC FUNCTIONS & RESPONSABILITIESResponsible for overseeing and managing all engineering and maintenance activities within a facility or organization.Contribute to the recruitment and retaining of employees, the development and execution of training programs and the execution of all performance management activitiesTunes the team’s capacity to the required workload, both in quantity and quality.Lead and manage a team of engineers, maintenance technicians, and support staff, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the effective performance of their duties.Establish goals, objectives, and performance metrics for the engineering and maintenance teams, and monitor progress to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Develop and manage budgets, Contribute to the delivery of the budget and realization of financial targets. Gives solicited and unsolicited advice to IPT lead, regarding improvements for more efficient and/or effective maintenanceFoster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering and maintenance departments.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to engineering and maintenance operations.PRIMARY ACTIVITIESOverall manage maintenance and utilities supply to ensure production operations are going smoothly. Support execution of site capital investment project within budget and timeline.Establish operation procedures and management procedures to ensure maintenance activities and utilities supply are carried out efficiently and accurately.Maintain site facilities and equipment in good condition through sufficient preventive maintenance procedures and keep the breakdown time as less as possible.Supply qualified and sufficient utilities to satisfy production requirements.Support each department to identify equipment replacement and new investment needs to develop annual capital investment plan and ensure capital investment plan is executed within timeline and budget.Effectively use resources of manpower, new technology and skill to improve productivity continually.In collaboration with EHS, ensuring that all aspects related to Health, Safety, and Environment are proactively addressed.Responsible for Engineering KPIs and identify the operation excellence opportunities.WHAT YOU MUST HAVEEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIESDesired Experience/EducationB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Automation, or equivalentGood knowledge of GMP and EHS regulationsFluent in English (both written and verbally)Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPointFunctional Competencies RequiredEngineering operation managementStrategic asset managementDemonstrates strategic thinking capability and ability to apply good judgment across operational challengesDrivers for superior results & has passion to winEnergizes team & develop peopleChange ManagementRegulatory ComplianceDemonstrates the ability to coach and influence senior leaders.Demonstrates strategic thinking capability and ability to apply good judgment across operational challengesCustomer focused, process oriented and data drivenAbility to drive for behavioral changesStrong project management skills & proven ability to manage (complex) projectsWho we areWe are known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, New Jersey, USA in the United States and Canada and MSD everywhere else.
