- Maintain and improve our site Capacity Model.
- Develop and maintain an accurate Labor Model.
- Maintain and improve our site Goals systems, including moves and inventory targets, critical tools spreadsheet and moves-based incentive systems.
- Maintain links to supply chain planning system for capacity and cycle times.
- Maintain cycle times in various computer systems.
- Maintain and improve lot tracking system and various dispatching systems.
- Train and guide manufacturing operators in dispatching systems.
- Derive weekly metrics for reporting to upper management. Develop new metrics as requirements change.
- Gain consensus among all impacted groups prior to implementing system changes.
- May lead team activities in the following areas:
- Cycle time and productivity improvement efforts.
- Inventory dispatch systems.
- Determining the most effective ways to model existing and new equipment.
- Evaluating and implementing changes to our dispatching system.
- Driving improvements to cycle time and productivity.
- Within the first three months, show an understanding of the site's key equipment and where the capacity model gets its inputs, as well as an understanding of the capacity model's output.
- Within the first six months, be able to maintain all existing Industrial Engineering systems with minimal support.
- Must have an unrestricted right to work in the U.S.
- BS in Industrial Engineering.
- 1+ years of high-volume manufacturing experience, preferably in Semiconductor.
- Required to work in the cleanroom for a range of 25% to 50% of their workday.
- Organized, detail oriented individual able to succeed in a team-based environment.
- Strong computer skills including Visual Basic macros and database knowledge / SQL.
- Strong communicator, who can effectively work with a team of Manufacturing Operators and Process Engineers to work towards overall department improvement.
- Self-starter, who drives projects and improvements to completion in a time sensitive, fast paced manufacturing environment.
