Company:Qualcomm Vietnam Company Limited, Hanoi Branch Office## Job Area:Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Hardware Applications EngineeringGeneral Summary:Job OverviewWe are looking for an AI Solution Architect/Technical Project Lead with strong technical depth and project leadership capability to define AI architecture and delivery strategy for data center or other high-workload systems, while also supporting productization on smartphone Android software platforms. This role combines AI fundamentals, data and model pipeline design, distributed systems thinking, solution architecture, and cross-functional execution under tight timelines and changing priorities. Candidate needs to work closely with the customer to pre-define device specifications and exchange with internal team on technical feasibility. Align customer schedule and launch plans with QC software release schedule. Will be interfacing with Business Development/Product Marketing team to understand project time-to-market and achieve customer’s goal. Good communications skills at all levels, being proactive in interacting with customers and internal global team are advantages.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or related work experience.
- Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts, model lifecycle, training/inference workflows, and evaluation methodology.
- Hands-on experience designing scalable data or ML pipelines for cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments.
- Hands-on experience with Python and at least one system-level language such as C++, Java, or Go.
- Experience with distributed systems, containerized workloads, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience leading cross-functional programs, managing scope, risks, schedules, and stakeholder communication.
- Working knowledge of smartphone Android software development, including AOSP/Android platform layers, build systems, or interface layers such as HAL/AIDL/JNI.
- These minimums reflect the current market baseline for hybrid AI architecture and technical delivery roles.
- 8+ years of experience in architecting and delivering large-scale AI or data platforms; Staff-caliber candidates should show multi-team technical influence.
- Experience with petabyte-scale data pipelines, active learning, auto-labeling, dataset quality systems, or MLOps platforms.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus workflow and platform tools such as Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies.
- Experience bridging edge AI and cloud AI, including productization for Qualcomm or other embedded/mobile platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Android smartphone software development, stability/debugging, compliance, and commercialization workflows.
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and drive alignment across engineering, product, research, and external stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers and shaping architecture roadmaps, technical decisions, and delivery standards.
- These preferences align with current Qualcomm, Microsoft, and Amazon signals for senior AI infrastructure and technical program leadership roles.
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
- Preferred: PMP, Scrum, or equivalent project/program management certification is a plus.
- This education profile fits the architecture-plus-delivery mix seen in comparable roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
OR
