1. Overall Job PurposesVAS Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant processing of import and export shipments through customs, arranging domestic/ cross border trucking and performing other value-added services as required.2. Main Tasks & Key Responsibilities· Serve as the primary contact for customers to arrange customs clearance, trucking, and other value-added services.· Ensure all documents are complete and correct before proceeding with customs clearance.· Prepare and process import and export declarations according to current customs regulations.· Provide consultation to customers regarding customs regulations, classification, commodity regulations, etc., with support from the team leader or trade compliance manager when needed.· Arrange appropriate trucking plans.· Work with relevant parties to arrange cross-border trucking service· Manage supplier performance for all required services.· Ensure all timestamps and milestones are updated correctly and on time.· Liaise with customs authorities and suppliers to resolve any issues or queries related to shipments (e.g., escalations, disputes, irregularities).· Manage files in the DGF operational system end-to-end (from file creation and document upload to billing and file closure).· Ensure customs and transportation documents (POD, etc.) are archived properly as per internal requirements.· Perform required post audits.· Prepare necessary internal and customer reports.· Participate in or lead continuous improvement projects.3.
