- Understand the key focus area of the bank's strategy and support the CFO in achieving the bank's performance objectives
- Support in setting up government meetings for CFO and the ministries (Ministry of Finance, Vietnam Tax Authority and International Financial Center governance team)
- Support CFO in hosting cross country central banks meeting (i.e. HKMA vs Vietnam MOF: and US Fed representatives vs SCB VN)
- Provide general administration and support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and to the Finance team.
- Ensure effective diary management for the CFO;
- Co-ordinate meetings of both internal and external stakeholders on both locations (Hanoi and HCMC), in English and Vietnamese language and take notes as required;
- Live translator for CFO with government engagements as requested
- Manage quarterly Finance innovation award process.
- Support vendor management for Finance
- Accrual and expense management for Finance
- Organise weekly Finance teach-in for CFO with Finance teams, keep track of learning activities
- Act as a point of contact for the Finance Team for all administrative matters
- File travel and expense claims and keep track of payments for the CFO
- Ensure Finance archival of documents are maintained effectively
- Ad hoc duties as required to support the CFO.
- Proactively support the CFO in fostering a strong, inclusive and collaborative Finance team culture.
- Help coordinate and support team building activities, offsites, town halls and informal engagement initiatives to strengthen team cohesion and morale.
- Act as a connector across the Finance team, encouraging effective communication, collaboration and alignment across local and regional stakeholders.
- Support onboarding of new Finance team members by facilitating introductions, access to information and integration into the team.
- Promote a positive working environment that reflects the Bank's Values and supports teamwork, engagement and a high performance culture.
- The role holder is expected to demonstrate a strong risk management mindset and uphold high standards of risk awareness in all aspects of daily work.
- Ensure administrative activities, information handling, documentation and communications are conducted in line with the Bank's policies, procedures and control requirements.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion, accuracy and care to minimise operational, conduct and reputational risk.
- Maintain effective records, controls and follow ups to support audit readiness, compliance and strong governance practices.
- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. - Professional working proficiency in English is required
- Knowledge of banking, finance & accounting is preferred.
