- Define, structure, and drive the overall game design vision in collaboration with the Game Director, Creative Director, and Production.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of designers, fostering growth, ownership, and high-quality output.
- Own and manage the design process, including planning, prioritization, and delivery of features and systems.
- Design and oversee gameplay systems, mechanics, and player progression, ensuring coherence and consistency across the game.
- Align design direction across disciplines (programming, art, animation, UX) and communicate vision, decisions, and constraints clearly to stakeholders.
- Drive a data-informed, KPI-oriented design approach for a live (GaaS) environment, leveraging player metrics, business goals and analytics to guide decisions and improvements.
- Identify, prototype, and iterate on key features based on playtests, player feedback, and data insights.
- Define and articulate a clear vision for tools, pipelines, and workflows to enhance team efficiency, scalability, and delivery quality, and long-term project sustainability.
- Ensure timely delivery aligned with project goals, scope, and quality expectations.
- Develop and maintain clear and actionable design documentation.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, and career development of team members.
- 5+ years of experience in game design, including experience on at least one shipped AAA or AA title.
- Proven experience in a leadership role (Lead or Associate Lead Designer).
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams across the full production cycle.
- Familiarity with live production environments and iterative development processes.
- Strong expertise in game systems design, balancing, and player progression.
- Broad understanding of gameplay design across multiple systems (core gameplay, meta systems, UX, etc.).
- Proficiency with game development tools (e.g., Jira, Hansoft, Perforce).
- Experience working with Anvil Engine and its toolset.
- Experience with visual scripting and/or data-driven design approaches.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform design decisions.
- Excellent documentation skills to clearly communicate design intent and ensure team alignment.
- Solid understanding of production pipelines, workflows, and development methodologies.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage team workload effectively.
- Experience contributing to multiple projects or different phases of production.
- Familiarity with large-scale game systems and content pipelines.
- Experience improving team workflows, tools, or production efficiency.
- Active interest in games and game design trends.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a focus on team growth and well-being.
