Expectation
- This position is responsible for managing the construction of plant facilities, particularly mechanical systems such as piping in industrial plants. - Compared to general construction projects, plant projects-especially in chemical plants-require strict adherence to detailed construction regulations and safety standards. Therefore, candidates are expected to have experience working in highly regulated environments. - Preferred backgrounds include construction experience in chemical plants with strict compliance requirements, shipyard construction experience, or other environments with equivalent standards and regulations. - This position involves working on-site and performing construction tasks.
Job Responsibilities
・Site Management - Supervision of mechanical equipment construction work at the plant - Maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment - Giving work instructions to subcontractors - Management of schedules, safety, quality, and deadlines - Reviewing construction drawings of plant mechanical equipment (piping, machinery, etc.) Note: Reading and understanding drawings is required; creating drawings is not necessary ・Other duties as assigned by the supervisorJob Requirement
Necessary Skill / Experience
・Education: Bachelor's degree ・Language: English or Japanese, Intermediate Level (Internal and Customer use) ・Experience: - Preferably able to design mechanical equipment for chemical plants (especially piping) - Construction experience in plants, power plants, water treatment facilities, or shipyards - Able to read CAD drawings
Preferred Skills
- Estimation and design experience - Ability to read construction drawings written in Japanese is a plus
