It identifies and cultivates top young minds, shaping them into world-class AI experts and future industry leaders.Qualcomm is opening applications for Engineering Residency Batch 3.About the Engineering Residency Program (ERP) (12 months): Residents will address practical AI engineering challenges in domains such as efficient AI, embedded engineering, and agentic AI. Engineering residents will develop robust engineering capabilities and engage in research rotations to become versatile, inquisitive AI engineers.Eligibility & Qualifications
  • Final-year students or recent graduates in Computer Science (or cognate fields) from Vietnamese or international universities.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.2/4.0 or 8.0/10 or equivalent.
  • Strong, self-driven interest in research and ability to learn complex technical material.
  • Exceptional aptitude in mathematics and coding. Preference given to candidates with demonstrated abilities (e.g., research experience, competitions, GitHub repos, AI coursework).
  • Familiarity with Python and AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
  • Competent English language skills in reading, writing, and speaking. Specialized technical English communication training will be provided.
  • Corporate internship experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy AI solutions for various applications.
  • Assist in data preparation, model training, and algorithm selection under the guidance of engineer mentors.
  • Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance of AI models and optimize them for production.
  • Write clean and maintainable code that supports the development and deployment of AI systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest AI trends and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.
Selection ProcessThe Qualcomm AI Residency Program employs a rigorous multi-stage selection process. The standard procedure includes the following rounds:
  • Application
  • Screening
  • Entrance test
  • Coding interview & Video presentation
  • Technical interview
A fast-track application is available for academically outstanding students who have demonstrated exceptional achievements, such as winning high prizes in International Olympiads in Mathematics, Informatics, or prestigious international programming competitions like ACM-ICPC.
