The Planning and Portfolio Management Senior Manager is a key leadership role within the Chief Technology and Operations Office (CTOO). This position oversees the planning, execution, tracking, and value realization of the technology and operations portfolio. The Senior Manager ensures alignment with organizational strategy, reports progress at all steering committee (SteerCo) forums (both market and group levels), and is central to building and leading a high-performing team that fosters accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.Job Responsibilities / Phạm vi công việc1. Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and maintain multi-year portfolio plans aligned with organizational objectives and market needs.
- Ensure portfolio initiatives are prioritized and sequenced to maximize business value and support long-term strategy.
- Lead the development of strategic roadmaps and business cases for technology and operations programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance portfolio management processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports to Operations / Technology leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to refine KPIs and reporting frameworks that support data-driven decision-making.
- Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead the management of the CTOO portfolio, including initiation, prioritization, and governance of programs and projects.
- Establish and operate processes and systems to monitor project and program execution, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate portfolio risks and issues, escalating when necessary to drive resolution.
- Manage resource planning (FTE/capex) and ensure alignment with financial targets and contingency plans.
- Facilitate collaboration and alignment across functions and geographies to optimize portfolio delivery.
- Conduct regular reviews of end-to-end operational processes to ensure effectiveness and alignment with group policies and regulatory requirements.
- Centralize and standardize operating manuals and process governance across the division.
- Partner with process owners to implement improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish and track process performance metrics, identifying gaps and driving continuous improvement.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talented team members, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
- Provide effective coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to build a high-performing team.
- Set clear objectives and empower the team to excel while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned by the line manager or company leadership, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to evolving business needs.
- Ensure the portfolio delivers the approved 3-year business case in terms of value, timing, and cost.
- Maintain a viable sequenced 36-month roadmap.
- Mitigate risk and cross-project, cross-functional conflicts before they impact customer experience, cost, or compliance.
- Maintain executive stakeholder confidence through transparent governance and timely escalation.
- Ensure organizational readiness and capability uplift so that operations staff, systems, and data can run new processes post-rollout.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology, Operations Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in portfolio, program, or project management within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing performance, and developing talent.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, execution monitoring, and value realization.
- Strong understanding of portfolio and project management frameworks (e.g., PMO, Agile, Waterfall).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in portfolio management tools and reporting systems.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership and steering committees.
