- Develop manufacturing Process and Equipment for product (Metal, Thermal, MCP & others) from customer’s design.
- Communicate with customer to consult about product requirement to make it suitable with Engineering capability.
- Works collaboratively with appropriate departments/teams to develop product design and tooling, and to source for the best materials for the new projects or designs
- Coordinate with other sites’ Engineering and related cross function Teams to deploy for Engineering Capability such as Manufacturing technology, Product’s design, Product’s requirement.
- Estimates production lead time, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Creation and modification of manufacturing work instructions and process documents such as WI, SOP, ECN…
- Do trial for product to verify product design, process design and equipment.
- Confirm production capability and improvement, trouble solving and solution for Mass production smoothly.
- Continuous improvement of production process through tooling and fixtures design for increased Quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings.
- Train and supervise production staff on new process and methodology.
- To support sourcing for the right and most efficient suppliers/vendors for any purchase of materials or service
- Develop, change and enhance any processes to ensure efficient production methods.
- Interfaces with outside vendors to determine product specifications; coordinates purchase of equipment, materials, and/or parts; evaluates products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Scoping and evaluation of production automation equipment.
- Execution and leading process improvements through Gage R&R, Cpk and SPC.
- Understanding and implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping and 5S techniques.
- Complies with required regulatory agencies, FDA, CDA, CFDA
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing / Industrial / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Mechanical engineering major is preferable).
- Must speak and write English well (capable of communicating fluently over phone on the technical subjects.
- Must work in foreign manufacturing company (FDI) at least 3 years,
- Knowledge of mechanical design, machining (stamping preferred) and tools & die equipment, fabrication process.
- Working familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD applications. Electronics/PCBA debugging, instrument test experiences a plus.
- Chinese skill is plus.
