  • The Sourcing Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for building, optimizing, and sustaining a high-performing global supply base to support the design, manufacturing, and delivery of sewing machines and related components. This role defines sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, drives cost competitiveness, and mitigates supply risk while ensuring quality, delivery, and compliance standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate brings deep sourcing and supply chain expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to partner cross-functionally to support both current production and future product innovation.

  • This role is located within a manufacturing facility.
  • The worker is subject to being in front of a computer and on the phone throughout the day.
RESPONSIBILITIESWe are seeking a Sourcing Manager who will be responsible for the following:
  • Sourcing Strategy & Leadership
  • Translate company and corporate strategic objectives into clear sourcing goals, KPIs, and execution plans for the sourcing function.
  • Role model and operate with our Values (value-based behaviors) every day, fostering a culture built on trust, inclusion, transparency and accountability.
  • Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring optimal use of approved funds while delivering measurable cost savings and value.
  • Lead and coach sourcing team members to execute sourcing initiatives effectively and consistently.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention and capability development within team.
  • Supplier Management & Development
  • Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop suppliers for sewing machine components (mechanical, electrical, electronic, plastic, metal, and finished assemblies).
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships, serving as the primary escalation point for commercial negotiations and performance issues.
  • Lead negotiations related to pricing, lead times, tooling, MOQ, capacity commitments, and contractual terms.
  • Ensure suppliers and subcontractors fully comply with company policies, ethical standards, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Cost Management & Risk Mitigation
  • Analyze procurement and total landed costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and process improvement.
  • Continuously benchmark supplier pricing and capabilities to ensure competitiveness in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Proactively assess supply chain risks (capacity, quality, geopolitical, logistics, or financial) and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Supply Network Expansion & Innovation
  • Continuously expand and diversify the supplier network to support business growth, new product introductions, and evolving technology requirements.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support the development and qualification of new components, materials, and suppliers.
  • Ensure sourcing activities support product development timelines, production ramp-ups, and long-term platform strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, finance, and logistics to align sourcing strategies with operational and product needs.
  • Support supplier performance reviews, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure sourcing decisions balance cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned in support of business objectives.

  • University/Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or durable goods.
  • Experience sourcing components and suppliers in a global manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (English & Vietnamese) and fluent English communication (written and verbal) required.
  • Fluent in Mandrin is also preferred.
