A premier private K-12 school with over 2,500 students, is seeking a Director of English program to lead its English Department and all new initiatives related to enhance the English application for their students.This position requires a dynamic and visionary leader responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the school's English language curriculum and extra curricular programs for students as well as training for both expat and local teachers. The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator with a strong background in curriculum design, instructional leadership, and teacher development. This role requires a understanding of bilingual education models and a commitment to fostering a vibrant, student-centered learning environment.1. Curriculum Management-Design, implement, evaluate and improve the comprehensive K-12 English curriculum to align with international standards and meet the needs of a diverse student body.-Design, develop and deliver extra-curricular programs to augment the English curriculum and offer students age and proficiency appropriate after-school programs.-Promote innovative and effective teaching methodologies, including project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and technology integration.-Oversee the K-12 English curriculum, ensuring alignment with the designed direction and strategic roadmap.-Lead the process to develop and implement programs and policies to foster a bilingual environment2. Teacher Leadership & Development-Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate all English faculty and staff.-Provide ongoing professional development, coaching, and support to enhance teaching practices.-Foster a collaborative and professional culture within the English department.3. Departmental Management-Manage the department's budget, resources, and scheduling.-Develop and implement effective student assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform instruction.-Collaborate with other departmental heads and school administration to ensure a cohesive and high-quality educational experience and an effective integration of English into program curricula.4. Community Engagement-Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and the English curriculum.-Represent the department at school events and parent-teacher meetings.-Contribute to the school's overall mission and vision.-Design, develop and implement English language events and activities for parents and the community that promote the school's English programs.Qualifications & Experience-Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.-TESOL certification-Knowledge of the Cambridge English programs preferred-5 to 7 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior administrative role.-Experience in a bilingual or international school setting is highly preferred.-Strong knowledge of international English curriculum frameworks.-Familiarity with the Ministry of Education and Training standards is an advantage-Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Vietnamese is preferred.-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
