- Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, including journal entries and aging reports in Xero.
- Reconcile AR/AP balances and payment gateway transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor debtors, follow up on overdue payments, and implement strategies to prevent bad debts.
- Process vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and internal fund transfers efficiently.
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or unusual transactions.
- Monitor daily bank balances across accounts to ensure liquidity and meet financial obligations.
- Execute daily fund settlements, including payables and inter company transfers.
- Manage bank account operations (opening/closing) and ensure compliance with internal control policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including audit preparations and interdepartmental coordination.
- Assist with providing documentation, resolving discrepancies, and fulfilling audit requests.
- Tax Compliance
- Issue VAT output invoices promptly and resolve invoice-related queries from customer.
- Prepare and file VAT returns accurately, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage customs declarations and payments for equipment imports.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records with proper documentation for audits and compliance.
- Maintain an efficient accounting structure aligned with evolving business needs and compliance standards.
- Support system integrations and ensure seamless financial data flows.
- Streamline workflows to improve accuracy, timeliness, and transparency in financial operations.
- Respond to internal/external inquiries regarding AR and AP professionally and promptly.
- Collaborate with departments to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or treasury roles (preferably with exposure to AR/AP modules and import/export operations).
- Familiarity with VAS knowledge and VAT regulations.
- Familiarity with customs documentation and international trade processes.
- Familiarity with Xero and advanced Microsoft Excel (large datasets, pivot tables, formulas).
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, payment systems, and internal control standards.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing high-volume transactions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
