- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development sessions.

- Define, implement, and refine engineering processes, standards, and best practices across teams (e.g., code review, release, incident management, and QA).
- Introduce frameworks to measure and improve productivity, delivery quality, and engineering health.
- Identify bottlenecks and drive systemic improvements for long-term scalability.
- Oversee multiple engineering projects, from planning and scoping to execution and release.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical plans and clear milestones.
- Own delivery timelines, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and deliver measurable business value.
- Partner with Product and Architecture teams to define and maintain the technical roadmap that aligns with business goals and long-term product vision.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Balance innovation and technical debt, ensuring sustainable technical growth and system stability.
- Drive architectural discussions and guide teams in making sound technical decisions.
- Partner closely with Product, Partner Success, QA, and Sales teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders to provide transparency on progress, risks, and priorities.
- Collaborate with technical leaders to balance short-term goals and long-term architectural vision.
- 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, ideally in high-growth SaaS or B2B environments.
- Proven success in managing and scaling engineering teams, setting clear expectations, and developing talent.
- Strong background in process definition and continuous improvement within Agile environments.
- Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional dependencies.
- Excellent communication, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coach engineers in both technical and professional growth.
- Broad technical understanding across areas such as Salesforce, Backend, Frontend, Mobile, DevOps, and Security.
- Familiar with Scrum, Kanban, and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Big plus: fluent in Japanese or background working with Japanese companies or clients.
