We seek people who think in code and are motivated by being around like-minded people.The Role: We're seeking an experienced backend engineer with full-stack capabilities to join our development team. This role primarily focuses on backend systems while requiring a comprehensive understanding of web architecture and application design principles.
  • Design, develop, and optimize backend systems and services
  • Architect and maintain database solutions that meet performance and reliability requirements
  • Implement efficient network communications and API endpoints
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, ensuring seamless integration between systems
  • Apply CS fundamentals to solve complex technical challenges
  • Contribute to technical decision-making and architectural discussions
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
What You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend systems
  • Computer Science Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design, and software architecture principles
  • Database Proficiency: Deep understanding of database systems, query optimization, schema design, and data modeling
  • Network Knowledge: Solid grasp of network protocols, API design, and secure communication implementations
  • Full-Stack Understanding: Familiarity with modern web architecture, frontend technologies, and how components interact across the stack
  • Proven ability to design and build scalable, maintainable systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining production Python applications
  • Experience with distributed systems design
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools
  • Background in performance optimization and systems scalability
  • History of contributions to significant technical projects
