Company:Qualcomm Vietnam Company Limited, Hanoi Branch Office## Job Area:Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Hardware Applications EngineeringGeneral Summary:Job OverviewA Senior Customer Engineer (QNX Focus) at Qualcomm is a high-impact technical role bridging the gap between Qualcomm’s internal engineering teams and external automotive/IoT customers, primarily focused on customizing and supporting software on QNX-based platforms. This role involves supporting Qualcomm Snapdragon automotive platforms (e.g., SA8155, SA8295, SA6145) to ensure successful commercialization of customer products, such as digital cockpits and ADAS.Key responsibilities:
- Customer Support & Debugging: Provide direct technical support to troubleshoot complex QNX-based software issues, including system-level debugging using tools like JTAG, Trace32, and QNX Momentics.
- BSP & Driver Integration: Work with Board Support Packages (BSP), QNX Neutrino RTOS, and kernel drivers, ensuring seamless integration on automotive SoCs.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance, boot time, memory usage, and AI model execution on QNX and other real-time operating systems.
- Experience: 3–6+ years of experience in Software Applications Engineering, Embedded Software Development, or related roles.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and debugging.
- Strong knowledge of QNX OS, Linux/Android OS, and real-time operating systems.
- Experience with embedded systems development.
- Knowledge of debugging techniques and tools (JTAG, GDB).
- QNX Expertise: Deep understanding of QNX Neutrino RTOS architecture, IPC, and resource managers, secpol and drivers.
- Automotive Experience: Experience with Qualcomm automotive SoCs (SA8155/SA8295) or similar hardware.
- Tools: Experience with QNX Momentics IDE, Yocto build system, and Git.
- Communication: Good communication and presentation skills, with experience in customer-facing roles
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
OR
