- Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational and production execution matters with Asian Contract Manufacturers and key suppliers.
- Manage and communicate weekly production schedules, build risks, and capacity constraints to the US Program Management team.
- Drive the implementation of corrective actions for all Post Ramp Qualification (PRQ) issues, ensuring robust manufacturing controls are in place to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate closely with Global Supply Chain and Logistics to optimize the flow of materials and finished goods from Asia to global markets.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing performance (e.g., OTD, Yield, Quality Metrics) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate seamless communication and execution between US-based Engineering and the Asian manufacturing site teams.
- 5+ years of experience in Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations role, specifically working with hardware contract manufacturers in Asia (e.g., China, Taiwan, Vietnam).
- Proven success in managing NPI or Mass Production ramp-ups for consumer electronics or complex hardware products.
- High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable due to the location and daily interaction with suppliers.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma concepts), and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain) across different time zones and cultural backgrounds to resolve high-priority production issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex operational challenges and solutions to both technical factory staff and executive stakeholders.
