This initiative aims to support and nurture high-potential researchers, offering them the resources and opportunities needed to thrive in their fields.This is a unique opportunity to become part of a dynamic academic community, work alongside global experts, and make a meaningful impact on research and society.ABOUT SMART GREEN TRANSFORMATION CENTER (GREEN-X)Smart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X) at VinUni is an interdisciplinary research center focusing on smart green transformation, conducting scientific research, technology development, and policy consulting in areas such as carbon emission tracking, smart aquaculture, urban circular economy, green economic policy, and innovation competitiveness measurement - aiming to promote sustainable development and enhance the competitiveness of localities and businesses through data-driven, evidence-based, and field-validated approaches.We are currently having 5 running projects:

Carbon Footprint Monitoring and Management System (CarbonFootPrint)
Smart Marine Conservation and Mariculture System (SmartMarine)
Smart Waste Management for Urban Circular Economy (SmartWaste)
Green Policy Design and Evaluation (GreenPolicy)
Vietnam Innovation & Green Growth Index (VIGGI)

THE OPPORTUNITYSmart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X) is looking for Research Fellows/ Senior Research Fellows in the following areas:

Areas of interest: Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering; preferably with knowledge of pilot- and full-scale systems and ISO 14064/14067

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThe members will be responsible for two primary responsibilities:

Research & Innovation: Conduct original, high-impact research and contribute to peer-reviewed publications in top-tier venues, while also driving innovation, prototyping, and real-world implementation of solutions. Work across disciplines within the Smart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X) to translate research into scalable technologies, pilot deployments, and measurable societal and environmental impact. .
Service & Teaching: While there are no mandatory teaching duties, candidates may choose to contribute as Teaching Assistants by mutual agreement.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIAWe are seeking outstanding early-career researchers who meet the following criteria:

Educational Background: Ph.D. degree from prestigious university
Research Excellence: Proven track record of impactful research, demonstrated through publications in prestigious journals.
Skills: Outstanding communication, collaboration, and teamwork capabilities.
Host/Mentor and Research Plan: The applicant must be accepted as a mentee by a VinUni scientist who will oversee the research. Preliminary research plan developed in consultation with a VinUni research team leader.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary of up to US$40,000 per year, with additional performance-based research incentives.
Duration: The Research Fellowship is initially awarded for 24 months. Long-term appointment is granted based on outstanding performance.
Research Facilities: Access to cutting-edge research infrastructure and collaboration opportunities with leading research groups at partner universities and within the Vingroup ecosystem.
