OverviewA copywriter is a creative staff member who is competent in creative thinking and copywriting. He/she is responsible for contributing creative ideas and copywriting executions to crack creative challenges. They mainly deliver the words and verbal content that accompanies the visual elements. Copywriters usually work in close partnership with art directors and have lots of input to the visual elements.
ResponsibilitiesA copywriter-based creative also serves as the copy lead for his/her respective projects in their respective teams.Working alongside the planning function, if called for, to help uncover deep behavior and emotional needs surrounding a creative challenge to help shape the translation of research into macro insights that ignite creative concept development and idea generation. Develop concepts and experience plans in a manner that is relevant to the brief, brand, and market needs while communicating the magic through a story.
- Collaborating and leading multidisciplinary teams including art directors, visual designers, UX designers, writers, producers, videographers, technologists, and studio/production (print, video, online).
- Brainstorming visual and copy ideas with other members of the creative team.
- Writing and presenting various copy options, which may be presented to the client as a storyboard.
- Modifies copy that satisfies both the client’s and the campaign's objectives.
- Oversees the production phase of his/her respective project.
- Accountable for checking all content being advertised.
- Responsible for taking a client’s brief and generating original copy ideas that grab the attention of the target audience. This can include creating straplines, slogans, body copy, jingles, and scripts.
- Works on multiple projects.
- Works well under pressure.
- Collaboration and creation works related to content across multiple digital platforms would be your main responsibility as a Copywriter.
- To fulfill the role, which requires close working with your Senior Digital Copywriter and Senior Account Executives.
- There are some specific editorial guidelines that you will need to notice as well.
- Worked as a copywriter for 1 year or as a content writer.
- An interest in capturing and telling exceptional stories of people.
- A personal purpose of making human-centered work.
- Highly creative and imaginative.
- Has good written and interpersonal skills.
- An eye for detail.
- Have an interest in social media, digital platforms, popular culture, and new advertising trends and techniques.
- Love various forms of writing.
- An off-beat perspective and the courage to look at challenges from unusual angles.
- A sense of childlike optimism, with a bias towards making something real versus just talking about it.
- A love for designing experiences that will actually matter and impact the lives of people.
