- Working with individual students and supporting them on research projects.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom.
- Support students consistently whilst recognizing and responding to their individual needs.
- Promote independence and employ strategies to recognize and reward achievement of self-reliance.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement.

- Preparing equipment and chemicals before lessons
- Supporting the work of teachers in classes and laboratory sessions.
- Assist Science staff with display boards, photocopying...etc, when time permitting or under the direction of the Head of Science Department.
- Monitor and evaluate students' responses to learning activities.
- Support parents.
- Act as a translator at Parents Evenings or translate emails from science department.
- Establish constructive relationships with parents/carers.
- Supply information relating to science activities/events
- Support school.
- Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are understood and followed correctly, dealing with health and safety emergencies.
- Be aware of and support difference and ensure all students have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.

- Liaising with academic staff to discuss timetables, equipment requirements and work plans.
- Prepare updated chemical stock lists on a regular basis.
- Ensuring that equipment is properly maintained and cleaned, and that chemicals, medical supplies and other materials are appropriately stored.
- Taking recordings, itemizing them, and making them available when requested
- Prepare stock lists of all science equipment / chemicals in each lab and an overall stock list on a regular basis.
- Preparation and installation of science equipment for demonstration lessons
- Running trials of experiments prior to classes.
- Managing the stock control of chemicals and equipment
- University graduate with a background in pedagogy and science subjects.- Essential
- Familiarity with the International Education Curriculum - Desirable
- Competent English speaker- Essential
- Ability to familiarize themselves and engage with English Literature texts at Years 7-9- Essential.
- Work constructively as part of a team - Essential
- Good knowledge of Secondary Subjects - Essential
- Good classroom practice and interpersonal skills - Essential
- Working in partnership with parents - Essential
- Good ICT skills including familiarity with MS Word and PowerPoint - Essential
- Excellent oral and written communication skills - Essential
- Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks - Essential.
