- Assist to oversee the Compliance policies and systems that impact HBVN and ensure that the Group's exposure to Regulatory Compliance risks is managed in a commercially sensitive, practical and cost effective manner.
- Provide advice and support on Regulatory Compliance risks to senior management, Compliance and other colleagues.
- Reporting to Head of RC on Regulatory Compliance risks matters.
- Manage and foster a strong relationship with all relevant regulators in relation to the activities of HBVN and ensure timely disclosure of relevant information, in relation to regulatory compliance related matters.
- Ensure that positive relationships are maintained with other external stakeholders relevant to the Compliance agenda.
- Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with senior business managers and Compliance colleagues at the Group, Regional and Country level and those in other Countries, Regions and Businesses.
- Create an environment for the delivery of consistent performance measurement, training across the Compliance capability.
- Follow the established strategy for sharing of Regulatory Compliance risks related compliance knowledge and best practice across the wider Compliance Function.
- Agree and oversee the implementation, embedding and monitoring of the adherence to the Compliance FIM.
- Provide oversight and management of Compliance Risk within HBVN. Report any significant compliance issues in a timely manner
- Be creative / innovative in implementing policies and providing solutions to complex issues/initiatives.
- Apply rigour to discharge risk steward responsibilities such as oversight and challenge under NFR program.
- Seasoned professional in managing Compliance risk within a global firm, in the financial services industry.
- Extensive knowledge of the HSBC Group structure, its business and personnel, and HSBC's corporate culture.
- Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels.
- Well-developed leadership skills.
- Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with Regulators.
- Preferred candidate with law background
