Job Posting End Date:Worker Type: Fixed Term (Fixed Term)Medior DevOps AzureABOUT THE JOBWe're seeking DevOps Engineers who have had a proven track record of running critical shared application platforms in a production cloud environment who will take a team-first approach and can act as a multiplier, making other engineers better at their craft.At NAB, we believe success comes from our people.   • Responsible for the provisioning, configuration, scaling, and maintenance of K8S clusters. This includes managing node pools, network policies, RBAC, and other cluster-level configurations. They'll ensure the clusters are highly available, secure, and performant.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications to K8S. This involves integrating with tools like Harness, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins, and automating build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and maintain the infrastructure of the K8S environment using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or Bicep. This ensures consistent and repeatable deployments.
  • Deploy, manage, and monitor applications running in K8S. This includes troubleshooting deployment issues, managing application configurations, and scaling applications based on demand.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions for K8S clusters and applications. This might involve using tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, or other monitoring and logging systems to ensure application health and performance. Automate infrastructure deployments and rollbacks for all developed work assuming responsibility for process support;
  • Implement and maintain security best practices within the K8S environment. This includes managing Kubernetes RBAC, network policies, secrets management, and integrating with other Azure security services. They ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams, other DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to provide support and guidance on K8S-related matters. This includes documenting processes, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the overall improvement of the DevOps practices within the organization.
  • Assist investigations into production incidents with assistance from the development team;
  • Proactively manage any risks to the production environment;
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • 3+ years’s experience of DevOps or Cloud Engineer
  • Proven expertise in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), with specific experience in K8S/EKS Kubernetes.
  • Adept at building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Harness, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, and Docker.
  • Possesses strong Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) skills utilizing Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and Python
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Demonstrated understanding of microservices architecture, API management, distributed systems, and compliance-as-code.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Azure/AWS technologies (EC2/Azure VM, AKS/EKS, Azure Function/Lambda, Azure Storage/S3, Service Bus Queues/SQS, Event Grid/SNS, Azure Monitor/CloudWatch) is essential.
  • Strong Linux administration skills (RHCSA/RHCE preferred).
  • Ability to lead and coach on code reviews between Developers and Quality Engineering.
  • Strong English communication, documentation, organization, and time management skills.
