- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct spend analysis, market intelligence, and benchmarking to identify sourcing and value creation opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver category strategies that balance cost, quality, and risk.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing projects (RFI, RFQ, RFP, e-auctions, negotiations) across multiple indirect categories.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, legal, and finance to ensure robust evaluation and award processes.
- Ensure sourcing projects deliver measurable value, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with business needs.
- Conduct contractual risk assessments to identify, mitigate, and escalate legal, financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Review and check contract documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies.
- Oversee the contract signing process, ensuring proper authorization and adherence to approval protocols.
- Support ongoing contract management, renewals, and amendments.
- Align sourcing outcomes with P2P processes and execution of purchasing request to ensure seamless requisition-to-payment execution.
- Support the Operations Sourcing Team by providing category expertise, supplier engagement, and issue resolution.
- Drive process automation and digital procurement adoption to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Lead supplier performance and relationship management, including scorecards, KPIs, and corrective action plans.
- Conduct third-party risk assessments (financial stability, compliance, operational, ESG).
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, and legal functions to ensure suppliers meet corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive supplier innovation, sustainability, and diversity initiatives.
- Produce timely and accurate Management Information (MI) and reporting on spend, savings, supplier performance, and risk.
- Provide insights and dashboards for senior stakeholders and the Head of Procurement.
- Track performance against sourcing pipelines, targets, and compliance KPIs.
- In the execution of sourcing projects, instill a responsive and strategic service and delivery culture, which makes business stakeholders value Procurement.
- Apply a range of sourcing approaches, including the use of eSourcing, to deliver the most appropriate business outcomes.
- Influence the business and act as pathfinder for business, risk functions and supply market relationships.
- Support Category Management as required in the development and review of robust, forward-looking category plans based on business and product needs, supply market dynamics, and technological changes in marketplace.
- Engage senior business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with operational needs. Foster and build relationships with key stakeholders and business partners as relevant to role.
- Demonstrate importance of advanced subject matter expertise through example.
- Market and communicate appropriate category guidelines in to the business.
- Act as an agent of change for the Procurement Transformation and beyond into future change initiatives.
- Drive embedding of best practices and compliance to all Source to Pay processes through personal performance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Procurement, supporting management oversight, governance, and risk management.
- Mentor and support junior sourcing professionals, sharing best practices and knowledge.
- Achieve or exceed agreed savings target for each sourcing project.
- Provide support in the negotiation and agreement of terms and conditions for all projects.
- Manage all initiatives to a robust plan in alignment with business/process milestones.
- Demonstrate understanding of complex business problems, apply advanced analytical thinking / market knowledge and drive the most appropriate business outcome.
- Ensure project data (savings, pipeline, milestones, risks, and issues and all other appropriate data sources) is accurate and reflective of reality.
- Ensure quality of content and compliance with relevant sourcing governance forums (challenge boards, fortnightly status meetings)
- Use best effort to ensure that non-strategic work is executed in the correct part of the organisation.
- Drive the usage of e-Procurement tools and manage an interface with offshore support teams.
- Deliver the Strategic Procurement Services transformation agenda including deployment of Coupa, Fusion, Supplier right sizing, etc..
- Support Straight Through Processing to achieve PO Compliance, PO Penetration, maximing buying channel creation and Archer Remediation if required.
- Meet and exceed operations SLAs and KPIs in line with positive feedback and operational enhancements.
- Optimise value through effective holistic supplier, risk and control management
- Delivery of ESG agenda and achieve the net carbon zeron commitment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field; advanced degree or certification (CIPS, CPSM) preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in indirect procurement with demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, risk management, and supplier governance.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contractual risk management, contract law basics, and P2P processes.
- Proven track record in contract drafting, reviewing, signing oversight, and negotiation of complex agreements.
- Experience producing MI, reports, and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Proficiency with procurement technologies (Coupa, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus (for reporting and process automation).
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes is a strong plus, particularly in relation to P2P optimization and supplier payments.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
