Commercial DirectorA. Job PurposeThe Commercial Director is responsible for leading and managing all commercial operations of the companyincluding Commercial Overseas, Commercial Local, Space Planning, and Trade Category teams. This role is critical in executing business strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets while enhancing overall operational efficiency.B. Job Accountabilities1. Strategic DevelopmentDevelop commercial and category strategies aligned with customer needs, sales channels, and market trends.Define product development plans, market segmentation, and initiatives to grow market share.Collaborate across departments to design effective pricing and promotional strategies.Conduct market visits and competitor analysis to gather actionable insights.Align cross-functional teams with business objectives through coordinated planning.2. Financial & Budget ManagementAnalyze business objectives and external factors to optimize budget usage across departments.Lead financial forecasting in line with the divisions strategic goals.Oversee budget allocation mechanisms, including contingency plans to mitigate financial risks.Approve and supervise departmental spending to ensure efficiency and compliance.3. Purchasing & Promotion PlanningSet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for categories and brands.Evaluate the performance of promotional campaigns and implement strategic adjustments.Identify growth pillars and key priorities to drive performance.Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure alignment with company goals and continuous improvement.4. Operational ManagementSupervise domestic and international procurement activities to ensure timely execution of commercial plans.Oversee space planning to optimize merchandising layouts aligned with product strategy and customer experience.Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to ensure consistent and effective product availability.Train and develop team members to build capabilities aligned with business goals.Foster a high-performance leadership culture with clear expectations and continuous feedback.5. Organizational ContributionParticipate in company-wide projects and cross-functional initiatives.Execute additional tasks as assigned by the executive leadership team.C. Job Requirements1. Professional CompetenciesDeep knowledge of the cosmetics category or a similar industry.Strong understanding of all distribution channels (GT, MT, E-commerce, B2B), including customer behavior per channel.General knowledge of brand management, marketing communication, and trade marketing.Commercial sensitivity and adaptability to product and market trends.Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.4. KnowledgeEducation: Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields; MBA is preferred.Languages: Fluent in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing).IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and BI tools.5. ExperienceMinimum of 3 years in a similar leadership role within the cosmetics or related industry.Demonstrated success in commercial strategy development and execution.6. Supplementary SkillsAbility to analyze market data, product trends, and identify growth opportunities.Understanding of product development processes and usage insights in the cosmetics sector.
