Our client, a global sourcing organization, is seeking a Sourcing Manager (Individual Contributor) to establish and expand its presence across the Southeast Asia region, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
  • 5-10 years in Sourcing area with in-depth hands-on experience in strategic sourcing for seasonal décor, gifting, home décor, toys, food storage, trash bags, pet needs, batteries, paper goods, outdoor/ patio/ BBQ...
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English & Vietnamese.
  • Strong project management skill.
  • Experience in retailer - buying/sourcing/trading offices is must.
  • Familiarity with international standards is an advantage (e.g., ISO 9001, SA8000, SMETA audits)
  • Supplier Scouting & Management in Southeast Asia
  • Conducted initial supplier scouting across key Southeast Asian markets (Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, etc.) to identify and evaluate potential partners for the U.S. team.
  • Provided on-the-ground support in Vietnam and other SEA countries to manage end-to-end supplier operations, including onboarding, system integration, product development, shipment coordination, and post-consumer feedback loops.
  • Costing & Commercial Analysis: Led product cost analysis, supplier negotiations, bill of materials (BOM) reviews, HTS code classification, and competitive benchmarking to optimize sourcing decisions.
  • Operational Performance & KPI Management: Monitored and improved sourcing, quality, and delivery KPIs, including testing/inspection/audit pass rates, FOB/ELC cost savings, duties and anti-dumping duties (ADDs), and on-time delivery (OTD) performance.
  • Ethical & Social Compliance Oversight: Applied strong understanding of ethical and social compliance standards to conduct pre-assessments, identify key risk areas, and drive corrective action plans with suppliers.
