Katalon has been named a G2 Leader in software testing for 11 consecutive quarters and a Great Place to Work for three consecutive years.Role Overview:The Head of Data will be responsible for developing and executing the organization's data strategy to align with business objectives. This role involves overseeing data governance, infrastructure, and analytics initiatives while fostering a data-driven culture across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with strategic leadership skills to drive innovation and collaboration.Your responsibilities:

Create and implement a comprehensive data strategy that supports business goals and drives value from data assets. Identify opportunities to leverage data to drive product development, marketing, customer success, and other key areas.
Establish frameworks for data quality, privacy, compliance, and security to ensure responsible data management practices.
Data Privacy & Governance:

Ensure that Katalon complies with global privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging privacy laws
Lead the development of advanced analytics and machine learning models to uncover insights, predict trends, and support strategic initiatives.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, engineering, and customer success, to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights.
Manage the development and optimization of data platforms, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and machine learning. Evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies to enhance the analytics capabilities.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while promoting professional growth.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Proven experience (10+ years) in data analytics, with a track record of leading successful data projects. Prior experience in a senior leadership role is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency:

Expertise in data analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
Experience with big data platforms (e.g., S3, Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
Ability to develop and execute a data strategy that drives business growth and innovation.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
