- Teaching - Clinical (70%): supervise residents' didactic activities, contribute to residents' assessment (including teaching rounds), provide clinical work in the pediatric clinic.
- Research (20%): develop research opportunities, including curricular and extra-curricular research opportunities for residents.
- Service (10%): Assist with admission, service to the university, profession, and community.
- The successful candidate is expected to work closely with VinUni educational leaders, and, in detail, the Program Director of Pediatrics Residency, in addition to Directors of the MD Program as well as the Vinmec Hospital Clinical leaderboard on all aspects of the development and implementation of the Pediatrics Program.
- Take a lead and responsibility for the development and implementation of the curriculum for the Pediatrics program.
- Provide leadership on course development, curriculum development and implementation, course quality assurance and improvement, and professional accreditation for Residency education programs at VinUni.
- Provide leadership at course levels for implementation of teaching and learning priorities such as competency-based medical education, student centered learning, clinical teacher appraisal and articulation to post-graduate programs.
- Promote the development of active teaching and learning practices in the delivery of the course ensuring integration of graduate attributes and competency standards across the course.
- Contribute to the clinical work and teaching at the Ocean Park Clinic.
- MD degree with current certification in the specialty of Pediatrics, or specialty qualifications that are acceptable to the ACGME-I Review Committee. The ideal candidate will have completed advanced specialty and subspecialty training in one of the above fields.
- Current medical licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment in Vietnam or foreign country. The ideal candidate will be eligible to practice clinically in Vietnam.
- Strong track record in graduate medical education program development and, preferably implementation with international standard and accreditation, especially the US standards (i.e. USMLE qualification, ACGME/ ACGME-I accreditation).
- Experience in health care education pedagogy as well as clinical teaching.
- Native Vietnamese language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in academic setting.
- Experience of working in multidisciplinary and collaborative educational team
