- Provide legal support to business leadership and Legal team members by researching and analyzing complex legal matters, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Act as a key advocate for policies and strategic priorities by engaging with executive leadership, regional heads, and other key stakeholders to promote consistent practices and compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts in collaboration with business teams, often under tight deadlines. These may include Supply Agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Consulting Agreements, Co-manufacturing and Toll-manufacturing Agreements, IT and Software Licensing Agreements, Purchase Orders, Warehousing Agreements, R&D Agreements, and Sustainability Program Agreements.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to business and operations teams, helping them understand the implications of legal documents and make informed decisions.
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents across a range of business areas, including corporate governance, real estate transactions, environmental, health, and safety compliance, litigation, and data privacy.
- Provide strategic legal support for select regional and global Key Accounts, aligning legal guidance with business objectives and customer needs.
- Participate in cross-functional projects within the Legal department, contributing to collaboration and alignment across business units.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures that reflect global and regional legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments relevant to the company and industry to ensure proactive compliance and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate across legal, business, and administrative teams to support company-wide initiatives and operational goals.
- Support the management of external legal counsel and associated projects to ensure efficient and effective legal services.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the Legal department and broader business operations.
- A law degree (LLB, Juris Doctor, or equivalent) is required.
- Minimum of 12 years of legal experience, with a focus on areas relevant to the responsibilities of this role.
- A strong background that includes both top-tier private practice and in-house legal roles is highly preferred.
- Prior experience working across the Asia-Pacific region is advantageous.
- Industry experience in consumer products, regulated sectors, or agriculture is preferred.
- Must be fully licensed and in good standing to practice law in Vietnam.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within complex, global, and matrixed organizations.
- Executive presence and strong influencing skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- High attention to detail is essential.
- Must be a proactive self-starter, highly organized, and capable of delivering clear, business-focused legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively while working independently with minimal supervision or administrative support.
- Proven record of sound judgment, analytical thinking, critical decision-making, and risk assessment.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new legal areas and a strong commitment to understanding the company's operations and objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels across both domestic and international teams.
- A high level of professional ethics, integrity, and moral standards is required.
- Fluency in both Vietnamese and English, with the ability to draft legal documents to a professional standard in both languages.
