Our fields of work are just as diverse as our employees and we are proud to live this diversity.The Regional Sustainability Manager, APAC, will work closely with the management of the local companies and the Heads of Group Sustainability departments to drive our sustainability agenda in APAC.Your responsibilitiesCoordinate and support the local implementation of NKG’s global sustainability strategy in our export and import operations in APAC (Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, India, China, South Korea, Australia, and Singapore), in close collaboration with local management, local teams, and Group Sustainability.This includes:Overseeing the implementation of our supply chain program NKG Verified: This includes timeline management, training of local teams and internal and external auditors, internal quality control of processes and data, provision of feedback for improvements of processes,Managing the implementation of our global Human Rights Due Diligence system within the local companies.Developing and implementing an environmental management system including measures to reduce our carbon emissions and improve waste, water and materials management,Overseeing our sustainability reporting: Further enhancing local reporting structures and processes to achieve alignment with the CSRD. This includes helping colleagues to collect and verify data for the NKG Sustainability Report.Serving as a key user within the region for our supplier management tool.Facilitating knowledge sharing between the local teams in APAC, with Group level and with our global network of sustainability experts.Contributing to identifying, writing and revising of project proposals, as well as supporting project implementation and monitoring,Depending on local needs, supporting local sustainability teams in their strategy development, set-up, growth and management of the teams, embedded into the commercial strategies,Representing NKG at relevant events, multistakeholder forums, fairs and other, and build relationships,Supporting other upcoming sustainability topics, such as EUDR compliance, impact monitoring, or regenerative agriculture.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sustainability, similar.Minimum 3 years relevant sustainability experience in an international environment.Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of any additional Asian languages is a plus.Familiarity with coffee certification processes is an advantage.Demonstrates strong personal integrity and a high degree of empathy.Highly resilient and dependable, with proven ability to meet deadlines effectively.Brings a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and pragmatic approach to challenges.Possesses strong intercultural competence and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Please get in touch with your first point of contact: Eva Tiang
