We manage the global testing standards, processes and metrics that ensure a positive guest experience with the performance of our product. We work cross-functionally across the entire product team to ensure our products meet our quality and compliance standards. We then educate our vendors to make quality products a reality.And, the lululemon Liaison Office (LLO) team is dedicated to ensuring our components are produced of the highest quality, delivered when we need them, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world. Not only do we manage the production of great product at an exceptional quality level, we also build great relationships.A day in the life:
  • Report directly to the LLO Manager, Testing and Compliance
  • Verify that the lululemon global standards for all raw materials (Fabric and Trim and Packaging) and/or finished goods are met as per development
  • Focus on the bulk Raw Material testing support.
  • Need to travel in different vendor location
  • Need to work remotely in different vendor location
  • Support LLO Testing & Compliance team by owning all bulk testing reports dispositions and providing clarification or support to all suppliers and vendors on any bulk compliance or testing needs
  • Monitor execution of the global testing program that protects our Brand and delivers a consistent guest experience internationally
  • Ensure supply chain is following testing cadence and that there is a valid/acceptable report in file for the raw material and/or finished goods
  • Support the onsite testing audit program in place for accredited mill internal labs
  • Implement proper corrective action plans with supplier/vendor upon failures, this in partnership with the LLO raw materials and/or product QA
  • Provide training to vendor/mill / internal team on testing area as needed.
  • Communicate with the third party testing provider to ensure on time delivery and to facilitate proper understanding and communication between supply chain with regards to testing & compliance needs
  • Partner cross functionally with LLO raw materials and/ product QA ensure the delivery of the right product
  • Internal and external communicator
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in textile technology or textile chemistry or textile testing
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Textile Science or Chemical Engineering is required
  • Knowledge of trim & raw material quality and testing is required
  • Knowledge of dyeing, knitting and weaving required
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet-research / reporting / analysis tools
  • Self-motivated, passionate, empathetic, approachable
  • Excel in communication, project management, and analysis with a love and passion for quality
  • Cross-functional partner with problem solving abilities
  • High attention to detail; proactive
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
  • Ability to travel (50%);
  • Desire to elevate the world from mediocrity to greatness
