We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team at a leading renewable energy developer in Vietnam. This role is critical in supporting the company's financial operations, particularly in managing accounting activities related to energy infrastructure projects and import/export of specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of accounting experience, with proven exposure to the energy sector and cross-border transactions.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and IFRS.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Manage accounting for import/export transactions, including customs, VAT, and foreign currency.
- Track and report project costs for renewable energy developments (e.g., solar, wind, battery storage).
- Collaborate with procurement and project teams to ensure accurate financial documentation for machinery and equipment.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for energy projects.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of import/export accounting, especially for specialized machinery.
- Familiarity with project-based accounting and renewable energy operations is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or local ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese (written and spoken); Chinese language skills are a plus.
