Legal research and writing: Analyzing laws, regulations, and case law to produce legal memos, briefs, contracts, motions, and articles.
Document review and drafting: Assisting with discovery and litigation by reviewing and drafting a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
Specialized projects: Handling projects that require specific expertise, such as complex litigation support, contract review, compliance advice, or intellectual property matters.
Court appearances: Acting as appearance counsel to attend hearings on behalf of another lawyer (requires licensure in the relevant jurisdiction).
Dispute resolution: Acting as a mediator or arbitrator to help parties resolve disputes without going to court.

Business and client management

Client acquisition and marketing: Developing a network, building an online presence, and engaging in outreach to secure new clients.
Financial management: Managing billing, record-keeping, and tax obligations as an independent contractor.
Administrative tasks: Handling the day-to-day administrative duties of running a business, including setting up technology and managing documentation.
Contract creation: Establishing clear contracts with clients that outline the scope of work, compensation, and other legal and ethical considerations.
