- Conduct UL Mark Surveillance Inspections across various categories (e.g., Wire & Cable, Power Supply Cord, Lighting, Luminaires, Switches, I.T.E., Audio & Video, Personal Float Devices).
- Ensure products bearing UL Listing, Classification, or Recognition Marks are properly constructed, inspected, and compliant with UL standards.
- Perform safety and non-safety certification inspections and field evaluations.
- Verify factory testing procedures and ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Conduct audits including QMS, GMA, ULE, and Supplier Chain Audits.
- Analyze and evaluate examination and test results against applicable standards.
- Exercise independent technical judgment to assess compliance and determine acceptable alternatives.
- Review production, inspection, and shipping programs to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Investigate misuse of UL Marks and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturers, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Provide technical assistance and promote UL services and benefits.
- Use instruments such as micrometers, voltmeters, and ammeters during inspections.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, test results, and variations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and policy reviews.
- Support implementation of alternate quality-based inspection programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or other related technical fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong command of English, with the ability to write comprehensive audit reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and honest, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Preferably with knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
- Willing to travel and accept overseas assignments.
